In the Rambusch workshops trained, highly skilled and deft craftspeople translate the designer's drawings into objects made of various metals, which might include aluminum, brass, bronze, gold, silver or stainless steel. Some of the techniques utilized are bending, brazing, cutting, etching, piercing, soldering, stamping or welding. Once the object is completed a suitable finish is applied, both for decorative purposes and to ensure protection and longevity. It is not unusual for Rambusch to be commission to refurbish its own objects from decades past. Art metal commissions range in size, scope, material and technique, but all receive the same attention to detail which results in a flawless translation of a flat original design into a three dimensional object.
